Description
Located in a 40 acre, quaint, peaceful tree farm in Masii, Machakos county. Offering fully furnished and serviced self-contained studio bungalows (self catering) short or long-term stays. You’ll have access to the private farm with a dam where you can view the local birds, and tree species. Or you could just take a walk in the farm shaded by our various indigenous tree species. Come and escape the Nairobi chaos in Wamunyu.
The Bungalows
The bungalows range from studio-single self contained spaces to one bedroom full bungalows. All are equipped with kitchenette, appliances, linens. Coffee, teabags, sugar, and water (4 – 500ml bottles per day). The bungalows have ample yard space to host bbqs with friends, bonfires with Smores, or just curl up with a book and a glass of wine on the veranda. No need to feel unsafe in this peaceful place, the bungalows are equipped with 24 hour security, guards, and a boundary fence that protects the entire property. Unwind in our peaceful space and enjoy our little piece of heaven on earth.
Guest access
You have access to the common areas. You can also take walks in the farm. A favorite is the dam. You can take a book and go read it by the dam or just go sit relax and watch and listen to the various bird species.
Neighborhood overview
The farm is peaceful and quiet. But if you must venture out you can take a quick 10 minute drive East on Machakos-Kitui road to Athi River and have a picnic and mingle with the locals out fishing and see the animals grazing. We also have lively local pub up the street. If you’d like to venture further (34 km) there is Machakos People park or if you are up for a round of golf there’s Machakos golf club in Machakos town. Truly a peaceful countryside retreat from chaotic city life.
Getting There
Getting to the farm you can;
1. Self-drive,
2. Take a taxi from Nairobi which would cost approximately Ksh 5000/- or Uber Ksh 3500/-
3. Take public express – Ksh 500 per person and get off at Ghetto or Wayani.
Traffic allowing it would take about 2 hours from Nairobi to get to the farm .
